Photo Essays
for Organizations, Institutions and Businesses.
My passion for people and societal issues inspires my photographic series and visual documentaries. I love capturing individuals from all walks of life: corporate employees, educators, farmers, artisans, artists, and more. With a dual passion for reportage photography and portraiture, and a keen interest in work environments and creativity, I developed the concept of Photo Essays for Organizations.
The Goal : Authentically capture and promote an organization's culture through individual-centered storytelling.
How? : I immerse myself in the organization for several days, working closely with employees and users. By listening to their stories and understanding the organization's structure and operations, I prepare to approach the report with insight. This knowledge helps me capture meaningful elements that symbolize the organization's history, culture, and potential future while avoiding sensationalism. I document every aspect of the organization, understanding the true significance of what I observe and capture. My task is to remain present in every moment, conveying the organization's culture in all its complexity and uniqueness through both images and words.
Here are two instances of projects culminating in exhibitions, showcased in public spaces to maximize outreach: "No Land For Love" and "Princesses Of Sheba At Night."
My approach to Photoreport and Portraiture makes it possible to build projects combining "reporting style image, ( photographs and text), and Artistic portraits of individuals (...).
Then, on one or more days, portraits will be created alongside the gathering of testimonials. In this process, unspoken questions or values may surface through a photo or testimony. A Photo Essay becomes a lasting memory and communication tool for your organization
Depending on your organization's size and resources, various presentation options are available. These range from simply distributing and using images on traditional communication platforms to producing original publications or organizing exhibitions. Once hung on a wall, the narrative power of an image captivates all who encounter it, leaving no one untouched. Subsequently, viewers have the liberty to approach closer, delving into testimonies and beyond."
"While capturing images, I actively engage with the subjects, we take the time to do the interview, it's an individual relationship. This interaction holds significance and carries emotional weight for the individuals involved. It serves as a moment of validation, prompting reflection. Of course I am neutral".
Photo Essays allow your organization to tell a compelling and meaningful story through a series of images. It is a powerful way to communicate emotions, ideas and values.
This approach takes into account the inner life of an organization, its structure, its know-how and its talents, it takes into account the interactions of individuals, giving voice to its members. Over time, these texts and images are key tools to communicate and restore the culture of the organization, institution or company.

Irrespective of the project, my aim is to incorporate two visual narratives : photo reports to portraits. I want to allow subjects the platform to introduce themselves to the audience and convey their perspectives. . Examples include: 1) Mano Portrait / video at home and 2) Rupi Portrait / photo report at school.
